Diving For Life 2010 Announced - Anthony's Key, Roatan

The location of Diving for Life 2010 will be Anthony’s Key Resort in Roatan, and the dates are October 2-9, 2010. Please mark your calendars. We will commence registrations between the middle and end of January 2010. Please watch our website, http://www.divingforlife.org, for specific registration information. We will also send an announcement when registrations go live. This resort is slightly smaller than some in recent years, and we anticipate selling out quickly. Also, whenever you fly, we encourage you to use our sponsor, American Airlines AND add Diving for Life’s Business ExtrAA Account Number 527556. Business ExtrAA gives Diving for Life points in addition to the miles that you accumulate in American Airlines’ frequent flyer program. The Business ExtrAA Account Number 527556 must be added at the time of booking the flight. Thanks to those who have used Business ExtrAA, we were able to add an additional airline prize to the raffle this year.

DFL 2009 held at Captain Don's Habitat, Bonaire!

Diving for Life 2009 was held at Captain Don's Habitat, Bonaire over the week of Sept. 19-25th. The diving was incredible, the company unparalleled, and the food and resort top notch. There's nothing like experiencing first hand Captain Don's unique diving freedom. Grab a tank and take a dive at any time 24 hours a day. That's diving freedom.

We had a special crowd of nearly 30% of which were NEW DFL PARTICIPANTS! We all made a lot of great new friends from all over the world and hope to see them all next year!

Good times at DFL 2007 Belize Sept. 29 - Oct. 6

2007 Diving For Life SCUBA Jamboree was in beautiful Ambergis Caye, Belize Sept. 29th - Oct. 6th. Although the island survived 2 near misses from hurricanes Dean and Felix, the island was beautiful and showed little evidence of damage. The resorts were nice. DFL combined Mata Rocks and Banana Beach resorts to accommodate 150 of us. The days were long and pretty hot with temps nearing 90 with high humidity. Diving off Ambergris was very nice, boasting tons of nurse sharks, turtles, rays, soft corals, fish, and stunning topography. Many groups ventured out to other reefs like Turneffe and The Blue Hole. There was also a great interest in on-shore activities on the mainland, including rainforest tours, zipline tours, cave tubing and many tours to various Mayan ruins. Overall, it was a great trip and very nice to see old friends and make new ones.

In addition, our own Anthony Johnson has been elected to the DFL board of directors! Congratulations Anthony!

I have one more suprise for you. DFL 2008 has already been announced. Pack your bags, we are going to THAILAND October 2008!

DFL 2006 St. Lucia

DFL 2006 we had 6 SDRSC members who attended the Diving For Life jamboree at St. Lucia's outstanding Anse Chastanet resort. The water was beautiful, the reefs were healthy and vibrant, the resort was outstanding, and the experience was unforgettable. See Chad and Gregs St. Lucia 2006 photos here.

SDRSC attendees raised $2,459.00 to distribute to our own hometown charities! SDRSC gave part of the money to The Center and part to Stepping Stone.
