About the San Diego Rainbow Scuba Club!

The San Diego Rainbow Scuba Club is a group of individuals that gets together on a regular basis to go diving, talk about diving, go shopping for dive equipment, go on fabulous warm water dive trips, and various other things that we decide to do.

We stay in contact through our Yahoo! Group. Divers post their dive schedules and make arrangements to meet others all on the Yahoo! Group. We have a dedicated core group that will make you feel welcome and help you brave our fantastic, but cold, California waters.

We have BBQs and picnics each year, along with various social gatherings, usually involving spring rolls and martinis (fish in the water, fish out of the water). We make all of our gatherings non-diver friendly, so bring your partner, friend, or whomever!

Now, let's talk Shopping! As all of us divers know, in order to keep our gear in tip top shape it takes replacing old weathered gear. And what not a better way than to stay informed of all of San Diego's best diver shopping deals? From the tent sale at Ocean Enterprises to the clearance sales at Aquatech, we know where the deals are!

Now for the fun stuff. Warm water diving! Yes, we love our California water, but let's face it, it's nice to get in the 84 degree water with 150ft viz every once in a while (for most of us, that's a few times a year). So there is never a shortage of SDRSC divers to accompany on a great warm water trip. Our most FABULOUS event that our members attend is the Diving For Life Jamboree (DFL). DFL is held once a year in a fantastic location that will surely turn your head! To find out more about these fabulous trips see the DFL website here: www.divingforlife.org. Some of our members have posted DFL photos from years past. Click to see Chad's DFL pics from Curacao 2005

We are also very proud to be one of the hosts of the yearly Rocks Rips and Reefs (3Rs) program hosted by the San Diego Life Guards. To find more out about 3Rs, click here to visit the San Diego Life Guards.
